Brief text arias from the voices of people in the Jewish Bible.

The identities of the most of the people were chosen from the text of the Bible by chance operations, with no person being chosen more than once. See the Details page for more about the project.

The first 38 pieces appeared, almost weekly, on Saturdays at thebookofovoices.com between Passover 2007 and Passover 2008. The rest were written over the following year, ending just after Passover 2009. These are first drafts, published as they are written.
